CenterStage: The Queens Center for the Performing Arts
CenterStage opened in March of 2009 with a mission to provide access to affordable,
quality music and arts education to children and adults in Queens. We believe that
exposure to the arts and to music education is an essential and an important aspect of
the quality of life for everyone.
We delight in offering not only the opportunity to learn,
but to grow as an artist and performer through frequent exposure to public audiences
in collaboration with other artists. These performances also help our young students to
understand the impact of music and arts on our world which strengthens their
determination and appreciation for all that they can contribute through their creative
endeavors.
On April 28th, 2012 we will offer our students another opportunity to perform through
our first annual Performathon at the Sky View Center. Our students, faculty, and partners
will be performing from 10 AM through 6 PM in a joint effort to fundraise for the
CenterStage Scholarship Fund.
We seek corporate contributions for sponsorship,
partnership, and philanthropy to support our scholarship fund, music programs and
events.
Your partnership for our Performathon will:
• Demonstrate your commitment to the Queens community and arts programs
• Build your organization’s image in the local community, sending a positive message
of the powerful impact of corporate citizenship to your customers, employees, clients,
and colleagues
• Ensure that all students have the opportunity to explore their creative talents
regardless of economic background.

This is
CenterStage’s only student fundraiser. The money we raise at Performathon is used
to support programming, including our Scholarship Program of tuition assistance for
our students.
